MRS. LENA JORDAN DIES AT HOME ON WEST STREET
(From Friday's Daily)
After an illness of one week, Mrs. Lena Jordan, aged 86 years, died at her home near Sugar Loaf last night at 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the F. A. LePell undertaking parlors, with Rev. C. W. Baer in charge. Interment will be in Maplewood, where the deceased husband and three children are resting.
Mrs. Jordan had lived in this city for something over thirty years. All of her children died before her, and her husband passed away about twelve years ago, leaving her alone in the little cottage on West street. One granddaughter, Mrs. Henry Marquart, resides at Wheeler; another lives in Hammond, and a grandson and a sister, Mrs. Koepke, are at Grand Island, Neb. Mrs. Jordan was well known among the German population of the city, and had many close friends.
