William W. Jones
Resolutions of Condolence,
By the Good Templars on th daeth of Wm. W. Jones.
At a meeting of Valparaiso Lodge, No. 75, I. O. G. T., held Friday evening, April 11, '56, a committee was appointed to prepare resolutions expressive of the sentiments of this Lodge in relation to the death of Bro. WM. W. JONES, and they reported the following, which were ordrered to be furnished to the Practical Observer for publication, and a copy of the same presented to the afflicted family:
Whereas our worthy brother, Wm. W. Jones, has been taken from our midst by the hand of death: therefore,
Resolved, That, while we deeply feel the great loss which we have sustained in the death of our beloved brother, we will not murmur at the hand of God in this bereaving us, believing that our loss is his great gain.
Resolved, That we tender to the bereaved family our warmest sympathy in their deep affliction, and that being deprived of their natural protector and supporter, we would commend them to him who has promised to be a husband to the widow and a father to the fatherless.
