Henry Isham
From the DAILY VIDETTE of Monday, March 10th inst.
A sad telephonic message came yesterday morning to the family of Mr. G. A. Sayles, announcing the death at his home in Chicago of Mr. Henry Isham, a brother-in-law of Mrs. Sayles, lately deceased, of pneumonia, the same disease that so recently carried away that estimable lady. Mr. Isham formerly resided in Valparaiso and carried on jewelry business, which he has continued since moving to Chicago until his death. It was of Mr. Isham that our present popular jeweler Mr. W. H. Vail learned his trade. A week ago last Thursday Mr. Isham attended the funeral of Mrs. Sayles at this place. For some days he had been suffering from a cold and cough, which were materially augmented by his exposure on that bitter day, and since his return home his condition has been critical and his suffering great, causing serious apprehension of his family until his death on Sunday. His funeral will be at his residence on Tuesday, 11th, at 10 a. m.
