Hornfeld
LOCAL.
The family of Andres Hornfeld, living about five miles north of the city, have been and still are, greatly affected with sickness, all their children having scarlet fever. Their oldest child, aged about eight years, died early Sunday and was buried Monday forenoon. When the parents had performed the sad duty of burying their dead child and returned home, they learned that another child, a little girl between four and five, had died during their absence. This second child was buried Tuesday. Five other children in this family are now sick with the same disease -- scarlet fever -- three of whom have whooping cough in connection, and the youngest is expected to die.
