REPORT OF THE CORONER'S INQUEST.
State of Indiana, Porter County ss:
BE it remembered, that on the 3d day of August, 1885 information was given to me that the dead body of a man lay in Jackson Township, in said state and county, supposed to have come to his death by accident or casualty, and to ascertain so far as possible the cause and circumstances of said death, witnesses were called and examined, and their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself, and given to the Clerk of Porter county. Whereupon I find the decedent's name to be Harry Holland, 44 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, weight 150 pounds, a strong man, and that he came to his death by reason of injuries received from passenger train No. 18 of the B. & Ohio R. R. Co. said train passing over his body and causing instant death, the verdict being in accordance witht the facts, accidental death. The body was given in charge of friends for burial.
A. P. LETHERMAN,
