MRS. C. J. HIGGINS INSTANTLY KILLED AT WANATAH
(From Saturday's Daily)
Mrs. C. J. Higgins, of Wanatah, mother of Mrs. Florence Higgins-Butler and Mrs. C. E. Osborn, was instantly killed at Wanatah at 12:15 today by an eastbound Pennsylvania freight. Mrs. Higgins saw the train approaching, it is said, but became confused in an effort to leave the track.
Fred Harrington, of this city, was on the scene just after Mrs. Higgins met death, and heard the warning whistle of the engine that failed to avert the accident. Mrs. Higgins had gone to the railroad grounds to gather dandelion greens.
