Asa Harper
In Laporte county, Coolspring township, Mr. Asa Harper was last week thrown from a buggy and his neck was broken from the effects of which he died. Mr. Harper was the oldest citizen of the township and helped survey the ground on which Michigan City stands. He was an uncle of Mrs. C. L. Dille.
