LOCAL.
The two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hanner, living three miles north-east of Valparaiso, was fatally scalded Friday, the 14th by falling into a kettle of hot water that had been prepared to scald a chicken. The child died the day following the accident, and was buried in the old cemetery on Sunday, the clerical rites of the occasion being conducted by Rev. J. W. Forbes.
