Amelia Halberg
PORTER POINTERS
Mrs. Amelia Peterson, of East Chicago, came to Porter two weeks ago to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Halberg. For some months she has been in poor health, being a victim of consumption. On her arrival here she began to grow worse, though the symptoms did not appear to be alarming. On Friday of last week her condition became critical, and before her husband, Andrew could get here from East Chicago, she had breathed her last. The couple had been married about eighteen months, and leave no children. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Theoreen, of the Swedish Lutheran church, and the remains buried in the Chesterton cemetery. Mrs. Peterson was 23 years, 1 month and 17 days old at the time of her death, and was born in Porter.
