F. S. Gilbreath
We have this morning to publish the mournful intelligence of the death of Dr. F. S. Gilbreath, one of our best physicians, and most intelligent, respectful and exemplary citizens, who died last evening of consumption, with which he has been for some months lingering. He was in the prime of life, and had lived in this place some two years, during which time he had acquired a good practice and reputation in the profession, and his prospects were fair until blighted by this fatal disease. He has left an interesting family who cannot but receive the sympathy of community. His funeral is to be at 2 P. M. to-day, in the order of the Sons.
[Note: The "order of the Sons" would have been the Sons of Temperance, which was very active in Valparaiso in the early 1850s.]
