H. W. George
Being informed of the death of Mr. H. W. George, of Danville, Iowa, our former co-worker, a meeting of the classic class of the Northern Indiana Normal School was called and a committee appointed to draft appropriate resolutions. The committee submitted a report, which was adopted, and was as follows.
Whereas, Mr. H. W. George was a cheerful and faithful student with the most of us in the scientific class of '84, and was deprived only by his illness of further continuing his studied with the class class; and
Whereas, the allwise being has seen fit to take him from us and his many friends; be it
Resolved, That by the death of Mr. George we feel the loss of a most worthy member of our class, a pleasant and amiable associate, one who was untiring in his efforts to secure the happiness and prosperity of all, and one whose energy, ability and perseverence promised fair to make him one of earth's honored sons with whom we all would love to associate along the journey of life;
Resolved, That we condole with his bereaved relatives and distant friends, and, remembering his many christian virtues and believing that our loss is his eternal gain, we submit with them to the will of him who doeth all things well;
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to his relatives and the friends who administered to his last wants; and that a copy be sent for publication to the Danville News and the different papers of Valparaiso.
