Obituary -- H. W. George.
On hearing of the death of Mr. H. W. George, of Danville, Iowa, a special meeting of the Crescent Society was called and a committee appointed which met and prepared the following resolutions:
Whereas, It has pleased God in his divine wisdom to remove from his friends our worthy member, Mr. H. W. George, whose fidelity to the interests of our society is gratefully remembered as one among his many endearing and ennobling traits; and
Whereas, We earnestly desire to show every possible mark of respect to his memory as well as to manifest our high appreciation of his intellectual and moral worth; therefore, be it
Resolved, That we have heard with profound regret of the death of our common friend and former co-worker, and that in his death the society has sustained a loss that is deeply felt and deplored;
Resolved, That we, bowing in humble submission to the will of him whose every action worketh good, do extend to his relatives and friends in the hour of their affliction our heartfelt sympathy; and we trust that the same hand that inflicts the blow will uphold and aid them in sustaining their loss;
Resolved, that these resolutions be published in the papers of this city, and also in the Danville (Ia.) News, and that copies be sent to his relatives and friends.
