[DIED. -- Miss Louisa Freize, June 9th, Age 15 year, 11 months and 5 days.]
Sadly do we miss thee Louisa,
Wishing for your smiles once more;
But you have left us here in sorrow
And gone to heaven for-ever-more.
In vain her parents around her bed,
Nursed tenderly her form of clay.
In vain were tears of sorrow shed,
The angels called our sister away.
Father, mother, long will miss thee,
Brother, sisters drop a tear;
When at eve thy cross the threshold,
And behold no Louisa near.
And the friends who long hath loved thee,
Oft will grieve that thou art gone;
In their past-times they will miss thee,
Miss thy smiles and loving tones.
Friends or physicians could not save,
Your lovely daughter from the grave;
Nor can the tomb confine her here,
When Christ our Savior shall appear.
Yes, there, dear Louisa, we shall meet,
Upon that blissful shore;
And there again each other greet,
Where parting is no more.
Then peaceful be thy silent sleep,
From all thy pain and suffering free;
Be dried my tears I will not weep,
In heaven I hope to meet with thee.
