Franklin
Murdered for His Money.
A man named Franklin, of Valparaiso, Ind., had occasion to visit Bay City, Mich., to make some collections. The last that was heard of him was by a letter written October 26, in which he stated that he had collected $4,000, and was going the next day to Roscommon county. On the 3d of December the body of Mr. Franklin was found on the rocks at the mouth of Pine River, Mich., in a partly decomposed state indicating that he had been murdered and robbed.
