ANSWERS TO CALL OF DEATH

Louis Foster, 72 years old, for many years a resident of this city, died at 2 o'clock this morning at his home on College Hill, where he had lain for several weeks. Death was due to apoplexy. Mrs. Foster and the following children survive to mourn his loss: Wilfred, Fred, Mrs. Emerson Bowser, Mrs. Thomas Hartford, Mrs. Matt. Buttler, and Mrs. Georgiana Wray. Jerry Foster, of East Main street, is a brother of the deceased.
Mr. Foster was born in Naperville, Canada, Oct. 30, 1844. He was married to Miss Philmen Renvelle, Oct. 23, 1870, at Naperville, and removed to Valparaiso in 1881, when he became associated with ex-Postmaster John Brody, a former resident of Valparaiso, in the construction of the Grand Trunk extention to Chicago. He later was with the late Jacob Chartier in the manufacture of brick for a number of years, retiring about ten years ago to manage his property interests here.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Paul's Catholic church, with Rev. Father Mungovan in charge, and the remains will be laid to rest in St. Paul's cemetery. The pallbearers chosen are Louis Raymond, Modest Coash, Peter Aber, Theodore Perry, W. F. Spooner and A. LaBrecque.
