MRS. JENNIE MAXWELL DIES IN BUTTE, MONT.

Mrs. Jennie Maxwell, about 60 years old, died last Friday in Butte, Mont., according to a letter received here this morning by Mrs. George Finney, her sister-in-law. Mrs. Maxwell was the widow of William Maxwell, once city marshal of Valparaiso, whose acquaintance extended over the whole north part of the state. He died several years ago, and since then Mrs. Maxwell had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Bell. She leaves upward of a hundred distant relatives in this city and vicinity, and innumerable friends besides. Her body was laid to rest in the western city.
