Benjamin Fifield

CRISMAN, Ind. -- The remains of Bennie Fifield, who was accidently killed by a B. & O. train on Monday of last week was followed to its last resting place in the McCool cemetery by a large concourse of friends. Rev. Hall officiated at the services. The church was filled to overflowing, and as the minister proceeded with his sympathetic appeal, fathers and mothers wept in sympathy with the parents of the sweet child, who was only 3 years, 9 months, and 20 days old. His violent death cast a gloom over the whole community, and as young and fond parents look upon their unbroken family circle their whole heart went out toward the bereaved father and mother, who started out on life's highway hand in hand some five years ago, and who were thus robbed of their earliest joy. Parents of broken family circles shed sympathetic tears, made the more scalding by the fond remembrance if a lost jewel. If tears come from the heart's deep well, truly this fond father and mother do not feel their loss alone.
