Sad Bereavement of Judge Field.
Intelligence reached this place last Monday of the death on that day of Miss Louise, oldest daughter of Judge E. C. Field, at Crown Point. Judge Field has the heart felt sympathy of the community in this hour of his great loss. A number of our citizens went to Crown Point yesterday to attend the funeral.
On hearing this intelligence a meeting of the bar and county officers was held on Tuesday morning at our court house, and adopted the following resolution:
Resolved, That the members of the bar of the Porter circuit court and the officers thereof extend their warmest sympathy to Judge Field and his family in their present bereavement, and as a tribute of respect to this stricken family the general business in this court be suspended until Thursday morning, the 12th inst.
