Mrs. Fred Emmett
THE COUNTY.
WHITE SETTLEMENT.
Our beloved neighbor and friend, Mrs. Fred Emmett, passed from this life Oct. 15, 1883, after a useful life filled with good deeds. It seemed as if life's work for her was not quite done, as if the aged mother and kind husband needed her companionship, but He who called her home knows best, and cheerfully she accepted His will, telling her friends she was ready and willing to go to that home to which her thoughts seemed always directed. When that summons "To join the innumerable caravan that moves to that mysterious realm where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death," came, it found her prepared. She was a noble daughter, a faithful wife and universally respected and loved by all her neighbors and friends. Surely at the great throne this noble woman will stand among those to whom it will be said "well done.".
