MRS. GOOLEY, NINETY-NINE YEARS OLD, PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Paulina Gooley, almost a centenarian and a resident of this city for sixty years, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home on North Academy street. Death was due to old age. Only a short time ago she had withstood an attack of grip.
Mrs. Gooley was born in 1817, at Naperville, Ont., a town a short distance away from Montreal. She came to this city in 1854. He husband died here in 1865. The only surviving children are L. Gooley, proprietor of a College Hill restaurant, and Miss Emily Gooley. Her only brother, Xavia Dye, residing near Crown Point, arrived here this afternoon. Mrs. Emily Paradise, of this city, is a sister.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Paul's Catholic church, with Father E. J. Mungovan officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery.
