The County.
HEBRON.
The man who was arrested in Jasper county, charged with the murder of the man found in the Kankakee river has made a confession of the whole affair. He says he went with him to the river with the intention of killing him, and that he took the pump top that was found tied to the man along with him, hiding it under some hay in the wagon. He killed him by striking him on the head and breaking his skull. He committed the deed for the puspose of obtaining what property the murdered man possessed. He had bought his land and all the things he had, and thought if he made way with him no one would be the wiser.
