PIONEER OF TWENTY-MILE PRAIRIE DIES IN CHICAGO
(From Tuesday's Daily)
Mrs. Sarah Dorr, who came to Twenty-Mile prairie, northeast of Wheeler, when Porter county was young, died yesterday in Chicago. Had she lived till tomorrow she would have been 89 years old. Mrs. Dorr left the homestead about fourteen years ago, and has since resided with her son, John Dorr. Other surviving children are Will Dorr, of Chicago; Oscar and Arthur, residing in California; Mrs. Flora Kuehl, of Canton, Miss., and Mrs. Emma Sullivan, of Galesburg, Ill. Mrs. Hiram Crook, residing with Arthur Hanrahan at Wahub lake, is a sister of the deceased.
Funeral services will be held at McCool Thursday, and interment will be in McCool cemetery, where Mr. Dorr was buried nearly forty years ago.
