Theodore M. Doerner
FORMER RESIDENT OF VALPO DIES AT LAPORTE
Laporte Herald: Theodore M. Doerner, well known citizen of Laporte and for ten years in the grocery business on Lincoln Way, died at 7 o'clock Saturday night at his home, 220 Lincoln street, after an illness of about one year. Mr. Doerner was born in Germany and was 60 years of age. He came to America forty-three years ago and to Laporte from Valparaiso. On account of poor health he sold his grocery business about two years ago. For a time he was employed as meat cutter in Steigely's market. Mr.Doerner's wife died August 13, 1913. He leaves on daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Wendt, of this city, and a granddaughter, Bernice Wendt.
