Thomas W. Cunningham
CHESTERTON CHIPS
Thosmas W. Cunningham died at his home, 241 46th street, Chicago, on Wednesday, Jan. 10, of pneumonia, aged 54 years and two months. Mr. Cunningham became a resident of Chesterton about four years ago, coming here from New Carlisle, and resided here until last May, when he moved to Chicago. The remains were brought to Chesterton Thursday morning for burial and the funeral services were conducted by Calumet Lodge 379 F. and A. M. He was a member of Pomna Lodge F. and A. M., of St. Joe, Mich, and Mr. C. W. chambers, of St. Joe, accompanied the remains here as a delegate from that lodge. Mr. Cunningham was also a member of the Chesterton lodge Knights of the Maccabees, in which order he carried a $2,000 life insurance policy. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Louis Friday. Mrs. Cunningham, who has been suffering from ill health for over a year, was not able to attend the funeral. Mr. Cunningham is an old soldier. The Chesterton Maccabees and Masons turned out in a body and accompanied the remains of the deceased to the grave. Several members of a lodge of Maccabees from Chicago also attended the funeral.
