Mrs. T. E. Crowe
Chesterton Chips.
Despite the heroic effort made to save her life, Mrs. T. E. Crowe, of Kouts, died on Sunday Dec. 3. On June 11 a gasoline stove exploded, burning her frightfully, and ever since her physicians have been fighting to save her life. Her husband submitted to several operations to supply skin to be grafted on her wounds, and at one time it was thought his sacrifices would be rewarded by her recovery. Mrs. Crowe was 26 years old and had been married but a few months before the accident. The funeral was held in Kouts Tuesday, and was largely attended. The remains were buried in the Catholic cemetery at Valparaiso.
