DIED.
CROTHERS. -- At the residence of her parents in this city, Tuesday evening, January 18, Daisy, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Crothers.
D rooping Daisy, that shone in life's morning early,
A h! the scythe of the mower, ere the flower opened fairly,
I n a moment cut down the fair bud of promise.
S till renewal shall come in the new resurrection;
Y es, in heaven to bloom in the fullest perfection.
C areful guardians are guiding the spirit immortal,
R emoved where no blight ever enters the portal
O f the Eden above; where no tempest, no sighing,
T ests the faith of true hearts on Divine grace relying.
H ow nature recoils, of the future uncertain,
E re the hand of Omnipotence withdraws the curtain,
R evealing what man may not know in probation,
S eeing not all the glorious plan of salvation.
