Lewis Comer
DIED.
COMER. -- Suddenly, at his residence in Morgan township, Friday morning, Jan. 21, Elder Lewis Comer, aged 77 years.
The funeral was conducted by Elder Shortridge on Sunday, and the burial was at the Morgan township cemetery. Although the roads were very bad the attendance was large.
Mr. Comer joined the church at 13 years of age, and began to preach at 23. His piety and zeal as a Christian were most earnest and sincere. He was also a very honest, industrious and intelligent citizen, and an obliging friend and neighbor, as well as affectionate husband and parent. He has been long a citizen of Morgan township, and well known and respected throughout this whole vicinity. He left a widow, son and two daughters, surviving him, having lost two sons and a daughter years ago, who all died at a distance from home. His family have numerous sympathizers in their grief.
