George W. Church
KOUTS, Ind. -- On the night of Jan. 17th it was reported at this place that a man had fallen from a passenger train between this place and Boone Grove and the section foreman and his men ordered to go out and search for him. They went and found the body but life was entirely extinct. The body was brought to the depot and the Coroner at once notified. When he came he found by papers on his person that his name was Geo. W. Church and that he had a son in Nebraska and a daughter in New York. Telegrams were at once sent to those parties and they immediately responded, the son saying to hold the body until he came. He arrived at this place on Friday, went at once to Valpo as it was necessary for him to see the coroner before the removal of the body and returning accompanied the body to New York for burial.
