Mary M. Caskey
PORTER POINTERS.
Died. -- On Saturday, Nov. 24, Mary M., beloved wife of Ezariah Broady, at her home in Porter, after an illness of one week. She died while giving birth to a child, which is now living and in good health. The funeral was held Tuesday, services being conducted by Father Kroll in the Catholic church, Chesterton, and beginning at 10 o'clock a. m. The remains were interred in the Cemetery, and followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of mourning relatives and friends.
Deceased was born in Pennsylvania, December 22, 1860, and was the fourth child born to George and Annie Caskey. When a child, she came with her parents to Indiana, and was united in marriage to Ezariah Broady eleven years ago by Squire Gondring. Five children were born to her, all living. She was a woman of lovable qualities, a true wife, and a fond mother. Her death is a severe blow to the husband and children, and harder to bear at this time when she was so badly needed by them. The family have the sincere sympathy of the whole community in their bereavement.
Among those who attended the funeral of Mrs. Broady Tuesday, were Morgan Broady and wife, of Grand Crossing, Ill., James Darrow, Pullman, and some relatives from Kansas City.
