Joseph J. Carpenter
From the DAILY VIDETTE, of Wednesday, Jan. 2d inst.
We are pained to announce the sudden death of Mr. Joseph J. Carpenter. He had been ailing for several days past but was able to be up and around. Early last evening he had begun to feel worse, and started to lie down, when just before reaching the bed, he sank down and expired almost instantly. It is supposed that he died of heart disease. The time of the funeral will be published to-morrow.
