Lavina Bryarly
OBITUARY.
Died, May 21st, 1880, in Washington township, Porter county, Indiana, Miss Lavina Parr, who was born in Crawford county, Pa., May 27th, 1805. When eight years old her parents moved to Beaver county, Pa., was married to Scott Bryarly Sept. 11th, 1827. The same year moved to Richland county, Ohio where they remained until October 1848, then removed to Porter county, Ind., where she remained until the time of her death, which was caused by rheumatic fever, under which she has been a great sufferer since last December, bearing up under it with Christian fortitude and resignation. She had been an accepted member of the M. E. church over forty years and died in the faith of the gospel of Christ, leaving a husband, one sister and six children to mourn her loss; but they mourn not as those who have no hope, for their loss is her gain and they have another tie in Heaven to call their hearts and minds from earth away to the land of rest, the saint's delight, the Heaven prepared for the faithful in Christ. May they yield obedience by faith to the demands of the gospel and be brought finally to join their loved one in the paradise of God.
