James Brownbridge
OLD RESIDENT DIED SUDDENLY
(From Friday's Daily)
Following a stroke of paralysis at his home yesterday noon, James Brownbridge, of Lytle street, passed away last night, leaving a large family and many close friends to mourn his loss. Mr. Brownbridge, although in feeble health for a number of years, was able to be around, and was in the best of spirits at the dinner table yesterday. After that he went to the dooryard, and a few minutes later members of his family found him prostrate not far from the house. A physician was summoned, but his case was hopeless.
Mr. Brownbridge was born in Michigan in 1840, and came to Hobart with his parents at the age of 12 years. About thirty-five years ago he came to this city. He leaves a widow, and children by her as follows: Mrs. E. A. Jones, Frank, Zera and Marion Brownbridge, and Mrs. Florence Affeld, all of this city. Roy and Thomas Brownbridge and Mrs. Rose Willard, of South Bend, are children by his first wife. Mrs. Ida Slagle, living here, is his step-daughter. Mrs. E. Reissig, of Hobart, is a sister of the deceased, and Weck Brownbridge, of Hammond, is a brother.
