NEWSY NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES.
HEBRON, Ind., May 27 -- Mr. and Mrs. Fleetwood, of Hammond, attended the funeral of Mr. Brey, Monday. In a post mortem examination of the body of Joseph Brey, by Dr. Edmonds, assisted by Drs. Blackstone, Wood, Hubbard, and Pratt. The cause of death was found to be cancer of the stomach. Through adhesion to the liver, a small portion of the latter organ had become infiltroted with the disease; otherwise, the liver was in a normal condition. One day last week, Rev. Henegear, of Francisville, this state, preached the funeral sermon of Joseph Brey, to a large audience, last Monday. Mr. B. was an old settler of Porter county. He was buried by the G. A. R., he being a member of that order.
