Lisetta Brewer

COUNTY SEAT NEWS.
Last Friday evening Lisetta Brewer daughter of the late Jacob Brewer, who was slightly deranged left home for a walk. Failing to return, the family instituted a search but no trace of the young lady could be found. Sunday morning Walter and James Bond went to the Luther school house to build a fire. Having no kindling wood they repaired to an old dilipidated building near there to get some boards and discovered the body of a woman lying on the floor which had partly fallen into the cellar. They notified William Bond who went to the building, then came to town and notified Coroner Coates. Thinking the body might be that of Miss Brewer Coroner Coates accompanied by Sherman Brewer drove out to the place and the body proved to be that of Miss Brewer. She was seen in that neighborhood on Saturday and called at a farm house and was given something to eat, after which she told them she was coming to town. Some years ago she taught school at the Luther school house and it is supposed that she stopped in the old building and one side of the floor having fallen into the cellar that she slipped and fell, stunning her and that she had frozen to death. She was about 36 years old. The funeral was held from her late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Allen Lewis officiating.
