Frank Bergstrom
OBITUARY.
We are again called upon to perform a sad duty, that of chronicling the death of an esteemed young man, who was reared amongst us, and had just reached the verge of manhood. Sadly we take up the pento pay the last respects to Frank Bergstrom, Jr., who died on Tuesday, December 2nd, after an long and painful struggle with that dread disease, Consumption. Frank was born in Baillytown on December 17th, 1862, and consequently was 21 years, 11 months, and 16 days old at the time of his death. Born, and brought up amongst us, he was well and favorably known by every man, woman and child in the community. After leaving school he commenced clerking for Taylor Bros. and worked for that firm for two years. He then commenced work as clerk for Ed Johnston, and remained with him for tow years, when his health failed, and he was obliged to resign his position. He afterwards went to Denver for his health, and remained their about four months, but getting worse he was obliged to come home. The best medical aid was employed for him, but to no avail, and gradually he wasted away, until at last his spirit was loosed from the suffering body. His funeral occurred last Thursday, the services being conducted by the Rev. Challman, and sadly Frank was laid away to rest. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the whole community in this, their hour of affliction, and the comforting assurance that he has gone to a better land.
