PORTER POINTERS
Peter J. D. Bergmon, a well-known citizen of this place died at his home July 31 of consumption. Mr. Bergmon had been sick about a year, and of late had been taking treatment of the celebrated divine healer, Dr. Berkholtz, of Chicago, and it was supposed that he was much improved and would soon be well again. However, in the past few weeks, he had failed rapidly and no hopes for recovery were entertained. Deceased was 34 years old and leaves a wife and one child to mourn him. The funeral was held from the been a new east bound train put on which passes through here at 8:35 a. m. It is a flag stop.
