OBITUARY.
SHELDON BEACH.
BEACH. -- On the 17th inst., at his residence three miles east of Valparaiso, in the 65th year of his age.
The deceased was born in 1817 in Washington township, Litchfield county, Connecticut. Moved with his parents to Porter county in the year 1838. Was married to Experience Sheldon in 1846, by whom he had six children, three of whom survive to mourn their loss. As a citizen he was highly respected by his neighbors; as a father he was greatly loved by his children; as a husband and a companion he was faithful. His death was sudden and a great affliction to his family. Elder Riley preached his funeral sermon at Luther school house on the 18th inst. to a large congregation of friends and relatives, after which the remains were laid in the cemetery nearby.
