Otto Bartlett
Coroner's Inquest Report.
State of Indiana,
Porter County, } SS.
Be it remembered, that on the 11th day of May, 1882, information was given to me that the dead body of a boy lay in Center township, in said State and county, supposed to have come to his death by violence or casualty, and to ascertain so far as possible the cause and circumstances of said death, witnesses were called and sworn, and their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself, and filed in the Clerk's office of said county. Whereupon I find decedent's name was Otto Bartlett, that he was 12 years old, of fair complexion, plainly dressed, and that he came to his death in Porter township, on the 11th day of May, while driving a team from the field, by a stroke of lightening. His person was committed to the charge of an undertaker for burial.
A. P. LETHERMAN,
Coroner of Porter county.
