Walter Anderson
CHESTERTON CHIPS
Walter Anderson, the twelve year old son of P. E. Anderson, the brick yard man, met with a sad death Wednesday afternoon. He was driving a team hitched to a scraper on the yard, and at 2 o'clock was struck by a huge chunk of clay which broke off from a bank. The little fellow was buried up to his hips, and one large chunk which lodged between his legs, cut him fearfully. His brother, who were near by, hurredly dug him out and summoned Dr. Green. The injuries the lad received were of a fatal nature, and at 4 o'clock, and just after the doctor left him, the little fellow died. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house, Rev. Holmgrain conducting the services. The accident is a sad blow to the family, and the sympathy of the community goes out to them.
