Died at Grand Meadow, Minnesota, Oct. 11, 1884, Marion Adsit, aged 22 years, 7 months and 13 days. He was born in Washington township, Porter county, Indiana. Like many young men he thought of change of surroundings desirable, and with a view to future interests left his home last April and located near the place at which he died. He made many friends while there who were so ready to sympathyze with the bereaved parents, and friends who reside here. He was attacked with a slow form of typhoid feer, but being very ambitious did not realize the serious nature of the disease until it had too firm a hold on his system, and finally went to the brain, and in his frenzied condition terminated in an attempt to end his sufferings with his own hand. The shock caused him to realize the situation but he expressed a decided desire to leave this troublesome world after seeing the loved ones from home, which desire was granted. He passed away quietly at 9 o'clock the morning of the 11th. The spirit has returned to God who gave it, and the form rests in the beautiful cemetery in Valparaiso, near the home of his parents.
