as an instructor at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Tuesday his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Moody, Sr., of Chesterton, received

were given.
Sgt. Moody enlisted with the Marine Corps a few days after Pearl Harbor and left
at once for training at San Diego, Calif.
On Sept. 27, 1942, he was united in marriage in California to Lillian Yunge.
Sgt. Moody has a brother and sister in the service, Pfc. Edwin Moody, Jr., is
with the U. S. Marines at San Diego, Calif., and Pvt. Betty Sinclair, is with
the Marines at San Francisco, Calif.
Besides the widow and parents, other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. James
Dunn of Gary, and Mrs. Milton Price, of Ross, Ind., and a brother Donald T.

Memorial services will be held in California, but because of illness of the
father who is employed in the Youngstown Sheet and Tube company at Indiana
Harbor, it is not likely any of the Chesterton relatives will attend.
