H. Moltz Is War Victim In France
Tech. 5-C Howard Moltz, 36, pf Valparaiso was killed in action June 29, while
serving in France with the artillery of the U. S. Army. His father, Fred Moltz,
owner of the Vail Jewelry company, received the word today in a telegram from
the war department.
Moltz attended Valparaiso high school and was employed as a traveling
representative for the McGill Manufacturing company at the time of his induction
a little over a year ago.
Most of his training was done in the summer of last year at Camp Bowie, Texas.
He had been overseas about eight months.
Moltz has two brothers now in the armed forces. Richard, who is with the
infantry in France and Robert, who is in the ground crew division of the Army
Air force, somewhere in the Pacific area.
He resided at 257 Michigan avenue, Valparaiso with his wife who is now living
with her sister in Flushing, N. Y.
