Late Hebron Coach Killed In Battle
Sergeant Lewis Henry, former Hebron high school ---?--- and athletic coach
recently reported missing in action somewhere in Italy, is believed to have been
killed in action.
According to Mrs. Henry, his wife, now living in Kendallville, Ind., unofficial
word of his death has been received from ---?--- Barber, a friend of Sergeant
Henry, who saw him leave on his last bombing mission.
Barber's letter to Mrs. Henry stated that the plane on which Sergeant Henry was
a gunner was hit while in the air and exploded. Apparently none of the bomber's
crew were saved.
Mrs. Henry on December 20 last received a telegram from the war department
informing her that her husband was missing in action.
