Thomas Auck Is Killed In Action
Pfc. Thomas Auck, 20, a paratrooper, was killed in action in Germany on February
2, according to a telegram received today by his mother, Mrs. Philip Pfersick,
of this city.
Auck was graduated from Valparaiso high school in 1942, and attended Valparaiso
university for a short time before entering the service in March 1943.
He received his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Shreveport, La., and Camp
Breckenridge, Ky. He had been overseas four months.
