Coroner's Inquest.
REPORT OF CORONER'S INQUEST, HELD ON Wednesday, October 14,
1874, over the body of a man of unknown name then found lying dead in
Westchester Township, Porter County, Indiana. The jury empanelled in such case,
after having examined the body, and the ground where the same was found, and
heard the coincidences appertaining thereto, found that the deceased came to his
death by drowning in Lake Michigan, and was afterwards washed ashore. No
valuables were found about his person, nor anything to indicate his name,
business, or residence. He was therefore buried on the beach of the lake where
found.
WM. C. PARAMORE,
Coroner.
