CHARLES J. KINGSBURY
The Charles J. Kingsbury family moved to Valparaiso from Rochelle, Illnois in February 1966. They bought the farmland of the George Carver family, from their daughter, Sadie Kennelly. The 12 1/2 acre farm is located on Yellowstone Road next to the Grand Trunk Railroad tracks.
Charles J. Kingsbury is the Bureau Chief of the Valparaiso office of the Post Tribune. His wife, Mary Jean, is a teacher in the Valparaiso school system. Their sons, Kyle age 18 and Shannon 16, are students at the Valparaiso High School.
The farm home is listed in the Century Homes of the Porter County Bi-Centennial Committee, having been built in 1867.
