Descendant of Joseph Bissell and of John Partridge Bissell, of Connecticut.
Daughter of John Bissell and Rebecca Cornell, his wife.
Granddaughter of William Bissell and Sarah Cory, his wife.
Gr-granddaughter of John Partridge Bissell and Temperance Stark, his wife.
Gr-gr-granddaughter of Joseph Bissell, and Hannah Partridge, his wife.
Joseph Bissell (1730-1814) served, 1776, in Capt. Walter Hyde's company, Col. Wolcott's regiment, from Lebanon, Conn. He was born in Lebanon; died in Youngstown, Ohio. John Partridge Bissell (1759-1811) enlisted, 1775, at Bunker Hill, and was in Capt. Skinner's company, Col. Latimer’s regiment, at the battle of Stillwater. He was born in Connecticut ; died at Coitsville, Ohio.
