Remark: Jacob Lorenzo Werich was a pioneer hunter of the Kankakee River. He was born on February 5, 1862, in Boone Township, Porter County, Indiana, the son of John Werich and Mary (Dye) Werich. He married Martha A. Douglas. Werich passed away on October 27, 1935 in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, and was buried in Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, Porter County, Indiana.
