Remark: Science Hall was constructed in 1900
to house the Science Department. In 1959, the building was renamed Baldwin Hall
in honor of Samantha "Mantie" Baldwin, who was a very influential and well
regarded faculty member of the university prior to the its purchase by the
Lutheran church. After the Department of Science moved to Neils Hall in 1967,
Baldwin Hall housed the Art Department. The Art Department later moved to the
University Center for the Arts in 1996; Baldwin Hall was razed the same year.
Printed on the reverse of this postcard is the following --
Baldwin Hall and Heimlich Hall.
