Remark: The October 5, 1938, issue of The Vidette-Messenger [Volume 12, Page 3, Column 3], published in Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana, states that "The first grade of the school of Beverly Shores has been enlarged by two new pupils, Arlene and Dorothy Harvey, daughters of the Roy Harvey's of Route 12, where they operate the former 'Red Horse Inn.'" This information suggests that the Red Horse Inn operated prior to October 1938.
